The Green Chemistry Conference was held at the Austrian Center of Vienna on November 5-6. It gathered the experts in chemistry, politics and industry to present the current status of the Green Chemistry throughout the world and in the European Union. The participants reviewed and discussed two approaches: chemical control and sustainable chemical evolution («Green Chemistry») in order to make our society fit for sustainable living with chemicals in a less toxic world.
Replacing harmful substances with alternatives with favorable toxicological profile is one of the streams of the conference this year. The scientists have joined the representatives of companies, international and European institutions to solve this problem. Moreover, several start-ups from Austria and other countries presented their ideas, showing that the green chemistry will be an integral part of the future from both economic and environmental points of view.
Today, the biofilm can be considered the main factor where the efforts should be directed to fight against microbiological contamination.
IDEPS also participated in this conference. «Our company has an innovative solution in the fight against biofilm, able to affect and destroy the architecture of the biofilm completely, regardless of its age. During the conference, we held a number of important B2B meetings, negotiations with potential partners, as well as interesting discussions with scientists dealing with this problem», — said Oswald Brandstetter, CEO of IDEPS GmbH.
Biofilms have to be fought in all spheres of life, from industry, medicine to the household. It is difficult to imagine how many millions of dollars are spent on it annually around the world. However, the fight is conducted using chemicals that are quite dangerous for human beings and the environment. IDEPS, on the contrary, is a substance that has a low toxic effect, but at the same time a high bactericidal effect.
said Dmitry Tretyakov, the managing partner of IDEPS GmbH for strategic development.
This is why it is important to tell and discuss the IDEPS solution with the practitioners and researchers at such Green Chemistry conferences. The Green Chemistry Conference is also an incentive for the future EU policy in the chemical industry.
